What’s the Magic Word?

Have you ever noticed how simple changes can reap the biggest reward?  Something as simple as the way we speak and finding that one magic word.

How often do we tell ourselves “No”, or tell others “No”, “Maybe”, “I’ll think about it”?  Changing how we speak can have a profound effect on the way we interact with others and the way we experience life.

“No” carries a negative connotation to it and it blocks you out.  It keeps you from experience new things, growing and learning.  Telling yourself “No” brings you into a negative state of mind.  It closes you off and limits your ability to change.

Simply trying to say “Yes” more often can bring about great positive change.  What is the worst that can happen?  You might like all the new changes you are making and all the new experiences that are happening.  But most of all it puts your into a positive state of mind.  This alone is the greatest benefit.

Now you’re probably wondering where I am taking this and what it has to do with Live Your Fitness.  As you have noticed from day one we encourage self-growth and continued learning.  One of the ways this is to happen is to step out of your comfort zone and try something different.  But you have to commit to it and say “Yes”.  “Maybe”, “I’ll think about it”, “I’ll start it next week” ect… are all forms of “No”.  You are putting off the inevitable.  If it’s not a “Yes” everything else is a no.

Saying “Yes” to the little things will lead to profound results.  So the next time you hear a recommendation of “let’s drink a little more water”, “how about we work on our sleep habits and stretch before bed”, or “Let’s cut out a few of the sweets” etc… what’s the worst that will happen when we say “Yes”.  Then we can apply this to all aspects throughout the day.

So as I wrap this up I’ll ask you one last question:

Can you start saying “yes” and creating that positive mindset to make a change?

You better not say “No” after I just wrote this article.
